SUMMER SOCIAL NEWS
Let the good times roll in 2013! We are looking forward to another fun summer at the Flower Valley Pool! We hope all members will take advantage of the socials and come out to all events. The board is trying to foster our community by increasing participation in events and making the pool a fun place for all members young and old.
In 2013 the ever popular TGIF will be available every Friday in July and August. TGIF is your chance to bring your own dinner and drinks and dine under the stars. The only time drinking is approved on pool grounds - so bring your family dinner and wind down from a busy week and enjoy friends and family. Two Fridays in June, July and August - drinks are on us! Bring your hamburgers, hot dogs and steaks to sizzle on the grill while we provide the beverages - both adult and non-alcoholic.
The 2013 Crab Feast is always a big hit and we have made it available to more members. Once again, there will be a maximum attendance and reservations will be held on a first-come-first-serve basis. We hope to see many faces come out and pick some crabs. There will be a nominal fee for this event - $35 per person. For the fee you get drinks (adult and non-alcoholic), all you can eat crabs (there will be an alternative entrée choice), sides and desert.
Please encourage new members to attend the New Member Happy Hour. This is a great venue for meeting other new members and the board of directors will be there to welcome all to the pool! Be sure to plan to spend July 4th and Labor Day at the pool! Once again there will be food available for purchase, free entertainment, free snow cones and lots of fun with friends and neighbors.

Host a Pool Party!
What a great place to celebrate a birthday, get your family together or host a group of friends. A party at the pool is an affordable way to have fun in the sun or under the stars! There is a $150 refundable deposit required and a $75 Reservation Fee to reserve the party pavilion for an event. Guest fees are waived for all private parties. To schedule your event, here's what you need to do:
Check the Event Calendar online at www.fvbrc.com/fvcalendar.html. Choose your date and email the Party Reservation Form to Donalcorn@gmail.com to hold your date. Leave your check(s) for the deposit and the reservation fee with a copy of your reservation form in an envelope at the pool with the pool manager on duty. Or mail it to Don Alcorn 15005 Columbine Way, Rockville, MD 20853. Your party will not be reserved until payment is received. If payment is not received within 7 days of holding the date, your event will be released and taken off the calendar.
